Red in Progress: the event organized by the Salone del Mobile.Milano to showcase the best of Made in Italy to the Saudi market.

Among the participants of “Red in Progress.Salone del Mobile.Milano meets Riyadh” was the Fantoni brand, present with its Woods collection, including a double-height adjustable table and a coffee table, as well as several innovative acoustic islands. In the B2B area, where meetings with local operators are held, the Hub table designed by Matteo Ragni was on display.

The event, made possible through collaboration between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Saudi Ministry of Culture, took place in the King Abdullah Financial District, transforming the financial square into a business-first meeting point between the Salone, 38 Made in Italy furniture companies, and the ecosystem of the Saudi development project.

“The Vision 2030 plan launched by the Saudi government includes major investments in new hotels, malls, offices, and residences, aiming to provide 362,000 new rooms for 150 million annual tourist visits,” commented Sales Director Alessandro Fantoni. “The market for furniture, fixtures, and residential components is expected to grow from the current €6.1 billion to €8.1 billion by 2030. In a broader context of geopolitical instability, this represents a great opportunity for us, as we have been present in the Saudi market for several years and have already completed some significant contract projects.”

Sales Director Alessandro Fantoni attended the event in Riyadh, meeting both Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi.

“This event dedicated to promoting Made in Italy comes at the perfect time and in the ideal context,” Fantoni commented during the meeting. “Today, Italy and Saudi Arabia have the opportunity to develop joint projects, and the Salone del Mobile undoubtedly represents one of the events capable of bringing the two countries closer together, generating significant business opportunities for both.” These remarks were warmly received by Tajani and Al-Kassabi, as well as by Claudio Feltrin, President of Federlegno Arredo, and Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, who highlighted to the authorities that Fantoni is “an example of circular economy and wood recycling, as well as an excellence in office furniture design.”
