Sensory experiences and innovative solutions for the Fantoni group at Made Expo 2011

A true group presence for Fantoni at Made 2011, which is this year presenting itself to the building and architectural world with new products from its three main divisions: Acoustic Panelling, Coverings and Boards division.

The activity of the Research Centre continues, as always, on several fronts, on the one hand developing new construction technologies for panels and finishes while at the same time improving the technical performance of products and the eco-compatibility of materials. An effort driven by the objective of meeting the needs of a building market that is ever more sensitive to the issues of sustainability and healthy living.

In this context, a series of evening meetings, informal technical discussions with experts in the sector and an invitation to talk about the hottest topics in responsible design.

ACOUSTIC PANELLING DIVISION

At Made, Fantoni is launching the new Acoustic Panelling catalogue, a highly technical volume that covers the full range of sound-deadening systems, with details of their technical characteristics and acoustic performance. The new catalogue is a guide to acoustic design and offers an extremely comprehensive range of design suggestions, also by means of an extensive photographic overview. It comes with a free set of samples of the eight basic decorative finishes that are always available.

At the expo, a birds eye view of the “classics” from the Acoustic Panelling division, together with a new and exciting offering for Topakustik with a natural look finish in coarse-textured wood for elegant environments.

4AKUSTIK
Top-class health and safety.
A new product has been created, based on the tried and tested panel with high sound-deadening performance to improve the acoustic quality of environments, but introducing a new formula that enables top health and safety performance to be achieved. 4akustik in fact conforms to the F4 star rating of the JIS standard, certified by the Japanese ministry and considered to be the most stringent in the world, relating to ultra-low formaldehyde content and therefore safeguarding of the environment. A highly eco-compatible product therefore, suitable for use in public environments in which the customer seeks technical performance combined with sustainable solutions, without compromising on looks. 4akustik also has a class B-s2,d0 fire rating (EC classification). Like the other products in the Acoustic Panelling range, 4akustik has an attractive appearance, due also to the numerous decorative finishes available which add an extra visual dimension to acoustic comfort.

COVERINGS DIVISION
PATTWALLPLUS
When covering becomes light. Making a work space unique, establishing a cult area within a hotel, identifying the corner in a showroom, brightening up a bedroom: all these needs can be met by PattWall, a wall and ceiling covering system developed along the lines of Patt flooring with its patented Joint System, for an almost three-dimensional vision of the environment and a total design. Patwall is now enhanced with a new gloss finish which, thanks to a special treatment, achieves a very high level of brilliance. A glamorous look therefore for PattwallPlus, available for all the wood and coloured decorative finishes, is the result of combining high quality of materials with constant focus on aesthetics.

BOARDS DIVISION
ISB
The warmth of wood, the advantages of technology.
At the Made Expo, the Fantoni boards division is launching ISB board in the market: it is a CE certified insulating panel aimed at the building sector. The board is moisture resistant and flame retardant and is made using the finest, carefully selected natural materials which provide extremely high level physical and mechanical characteristics.  The board is in class E1 and is used in the building sector as an insulating and building component, also in combination with other materials. When being worked, the board is equivalent in quality to natural wood panelling, and can be lacquered or stuck directly, without further processing. Made exclusively of pure, untreated wood, ISB is a new material for ever higher quality building work.

IS
Panelling for structural use in damp environments.
At first sight, the distinguishing feature of IS board is its attractively smooth appearance, but its technical qualities are immediately appreciated. This CE and FSC certified insulating panelling is suitable for a variety of building applications, also in combination with other materials. IS is also flame retardant, moisture resistant, tough and durable over time and is available in a wide range of thicknesses.

TOUCHWOOD
Technology at the service of the senses.
Touchwood revolutionises the faced panelling world with a unique new technology based on new generation facing papers which feel and look remarkably like wood. These Japanese papers, suitably surface-treated by Lacon, a company of the Fantoni group, allow a three-dimensional view of the decorative finish that gives an extremely clear visual perception of the wood. The resulting overwhelming sensation transmits natural feelings of warmth and well-being. The resulting superior optical value and the selection of warm textures provides the market with an absolutely innovative product. Of particular interest is its application in the door sector, where the dynamic look of its decorative finishes with three-dimensional pore structure can be fully appreciated, emphasizing their aesthetic movement.
