New modular soundproofing system:
to increase acoustic well-being.

The Fantoni Research Centre is expanding its range of Acoustic Panelling products with the introduction of its new modular soundproofing  system.  This strengthens the Fantoni Group's leadership in the field of acoustic comfort: a requirement that is becoming ever more widespread in the market.

The aim of the modular soundproofing system is to rectify problems of poor acoustic insulation by increasing the sound insulating capacity of existing partition walls. To achieve this, the new system comprises a 16 mm thick MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) base panel and a visco-elastic acoustic barrier, bonded to the panel via the interposition of a layer of sound-absorbing material.

The backing panel thus obtained has been designed to allow the application of any of the products from the Acoustic Panelling range, in order to provide a single solution for two different aspects of architectural acoustics: the elimination of sound transmission between adjacent rooms and the reduction of reverberation within rooms.

The module also makes it possible to conceal and manage any wiring and systems present.

The system thus constituted guarantees a soundproofing level of 32 dB (in accordance with ISO 717-1) and, when applied to a dividing wall made of hollow bricks plastered on both sides, the soundproofing capacity is increased by more than 10 dB (figures obtained by simulation with SEA software). The poorer the acoustic characteristics of the dividing wall to be treated, the greater the increase in acoustic insulation obtained.

Acoustic Design:
S-Top, the new fixing system specifically designed for soundproofing systems is about to be launched.

A new furnishing accessory that enhances the functionality of the Topakustik  sound-deadening panel: the S-Top screw, a multifunction fixing component that is compatible with Topakustik 28/4 and 13/3.
The new accessory is of simple design and is fitted directly into existing holes, so eliminating the need to drill the Topakustik panel.
S-Top is inserted into the milling and is locked by tightening the screw head: fixing to the panel is achieved by opening of two rear ‘wings’ which ensure its stability.
With this system, S-Top is also easy to reposition in order to adapt to changing needs. The new accessory allows different components, such as flower trays, containers of various sizes or display systems, to be fixed to the Topakustik panel.
